Trick or Treat . . .

Mr. Pumpkin left me a pumpkin full of treats this morning.

Halloween Eve (posted by Mom)

While baby slept through a little of the night, Mom and Dad prepared for Halloween by making treats and carving pumpkins. Next year, TANK will have to do his share and help out. Guess who carved which jack-o-lanterns? Also, Sam got into the Halloween spirit as well.

Mommy & Me Class

Yesterday, mom and I attended our first Mommy & Me class. It was the annual Halloween party, and Mom didn’t know I was supposed to be dressed up in my costume. So, I was the only one who didn’t have a costume on. (OK, maybe there was one other kid, and a lot of the kids had their costumes off within 10 minutes of class starting.) Boo Hoo! What a shame! I have so many Halloween clothes that I’m not going to be able to wear because of the warm weather. Despite not having a costume, I really enjoyed seeing so many babies and bouncing around to all the songs. Of course, by the time we got home, I was starving and my cranky spanky side emerged from all the stimulation.

I would post a picture from class, but Mom forgot the camera as well!

Happy Birthday, Kasia!

Today, is my nanny’s birthday, and I hope she’s having a super special day. We celebrated her birthday on Friday with cupcakes! Some interesting facts about my nanny — she’s Polish, LOVES spaghetti, mac-n-cheese, and hip hop (Tupac is one of her favorite rappers). I have a lot of fun with her, and can’t wait to hear about her birthday weekend tomorrow.

Big Boy in the Neighborhood — 6 Week Check Up

Today, I had my six week check up (even though I’m seven weeks old). I’m 24.5 inches tall (96 percentile) and weigh 13.5 lbs (95 percentile). Basically, I’ve gained nearly 5 lbs in four weeks. Mmmmm . . . milk. While these percentiles really don’t mean much, it is interesting to know how I measure up to others my same age. I also had my first set of immunizations (thanks, Mom and Dad for getting me vaccinated — it’s important for all kids to be vaccinated!) I did really well and just cried for a tiny bit. Really, I was crying because I wanted to finish my bottle. Mom cried more than I did, and was still crying after leaving the Dr.’s office.  I think she needed a bottle (a different kind) as well.

The picture below is from earlier this week. Mom likes how you can see the color of my eyes. They’re still the same color as Dad’s. Hazel or bluish gray depending on what I’m wearing.

I Sleep When Baby Sleeps (posted by Sam)

Whenever the baby takes a nap, you can usually find me pretty close by doing the same thing.

Mom’s Favorite PJs

Mom LOVES these PJs on me! Unfortunately, no matter how cute my PJs are, I’m still not sleeping through the night yet. I do a long stretch at the front end, and then wake up for a midnight feeding, then an early 3:00 a.m. snack and then I like to start my day anytime between 4:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. I’m not much of a sleeper and don’t take too many naps during the day, which means I require lots of entertainment.

First Visit to Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to the famous Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch to pick out our pumpkins. Mom and Dad kept saying I’ll have more fun next year when I can go into the bouncing pumpkin, get my face painted, etc.

Another Fashion Citation for Dad — One More Strike and It’ll be Life

Mom started to laugh hysterically when she noticed that Dad put my onesie over my pants instead of underneath. Another fashion police citation for Dad! We’re going to the pumpkin patch today.
