We are off to Long Beach for some quality family time this weekend. On our agenda — El Dorado State Park and the Aquarium of the Pacific. We’ll post some pics as soon as we get back. Sam is excited as well — he’s off to spend the weekend with his dog nanny, Melissa.

5 Month Check Up
I had my 5 month check up today, and everything is GREAT! I’m still off the charts on height at 28.5 inches tall and in the 90% for weight at 18 lbs 11 oz. I’m eating cereal, sweet peas, squash, applesauce, bananas and green beans. Some other recent milestones include — being able to grab my toys much better, scooting around on my tummy (I can do a full circle), and bending my knees up under me and pushing backwards. Dr. Wang says I’ll probably be crawling in the next month or so. On the flip side, I’m also experiencing stranger anxiety (I cried when Dr. Wang held me today) and still need to work on my torticollis (favoring the right side of my neck). Mom was concerned that I may have needed a helmet for my head, but the Dr. thinks my head shape is fine and will continue to work itself out. Mom breathed a huge sigh of relief.
I wasn’t too happy about the last part of our visit where the Dr. told Mom and Dad that I can start to be “Ferberized” during the night so everyone gets a good nights sleep. Last but not least, I’m really into all my Elmo stuff these days. Mom and Dad unconsciously are always humming the song and saying “Elmo’s World.”

Mom and I thought my Elmo toy was a nice substitution for Flavor Flav’s clock.
What?! There’s a Panda in my Pocket. At Least it’s not a Wocket.
(I think Mom has been reading too many Dr. Seuss books!)
5 Months Old
I’m a whopping 5 months old today. Next Friday I go to the doctors and will post on how big I’m getting. Also, we forgot to post a Happy Birthday message to my cousin, Amelia, who celebrated her special day this past weekend. We are looking forward to seeing pictures of your Barbie doll birthday cake!
